NEW PHOTOS ADDED FROM LAST FEW WEEKS
June 17th- Over the
last few weeks Team DFR has enjoyed a great run racking up two wins and a second in feature action. But now with a few
weeks off in preparation for Round #2 of the Texas/Louisiana Shootout we take a minute to check out the photos over the last
couple weeks.
Pictured above: David ran the high
side at CPS last saturday as he and Doug Ingalls vied for the top spot all night. David took the checkers in front of
Ingalls in heat race action, and Ingalls took the feature checkers in front of David. (Photo: Scott's Custom Art). Click here for the Photo Gallery.

DAVID BATTLES BACK TO TAKE 2ND AT CPS
June 13th- It was
an exciting night of racing last night for Team DFR as they hit Champion Park Speedway for the first time in 2009. It
was also a non-points event which allowed the #28 Wells wing modified to do a little testing in preparation for the single
CPS point event on August 1st.
In what's becoming
a standard Team DFR once again drew the low pill, gridding the team on the pole for the first of the two heat races.
The team knows all too well that starting up front is half the battle and with passing points, it's not always a good thing.
As the field went green on the first heat of the night, David rocketed down the front stretch only to find Doug Ingalls at
his door entering turn one. The challenge was shortlived as David quickly distanced himself from the SUPR and wing modified
veteran. The #28 Troyer wing modified was unchallenged the remainder of the heat until a late bid by
Ingalls on the last lap. Although close, Ingalls was never close enough to make a pass. David motored ahead and
took the checkers collecting his seventh heat race win in nine tries this year.
Earning the second highest passing points on the evening, David was set to start he feature front row-outside in
the 20 lap main event along last years champion Alan Myers. The first five laps saw David and the #99 of Doug Ingalls
race side-by-side swapping positions several times as Myers was out front. The two briefly separated on lap 4 as lap
traffic came into play but were soon locked at the wheels again until lap 6 where Ingalls got the advantage taking the third
spot. On lap 11 the #28 had momentarily slipped back to the fifth spot until two front running cars tangled
on lap 14. David restarted third then battled past the #84 of Jason Ingalls to secure the second
position for the final six rounds.

DAVID WINS ROUND ONE OF TEXAS/LOUISIANA SHOOTOUT
June 6th- After
dropping out early last week for electrical problems at Ark-La-Tex Speedway, Team DFR gained a little redemption by winning
tonights Texas/Louisiana Shootout between the TWMA and ALTWM's at Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale, Texas.
With a bad pill draw the #28 Shed Road Auto Parts wing modified was
assigned the 7th starting position in the second heat race. Under TWMA format, the top four in each heat transfer to
the 'A' Feature. All David had to do was finish 4th or better to tranfer straight to the 'A'. David did just that
as he crossed the stripe 4th securing a spot in tonights Tx/La Shootout.
A decent pill re-draw by the top qulaifiers gridded David on the second-row outside
for the 'A' Feature. At the drop of the green it was easy to see David was here for the win. An early caution bunched
the field up for the restart with the #28 in third. Once green again, the #28 Troyer rocketed to the front
in turn one to take the lead only three laps into the 25 lap event. From here out David survived another three
cautions to win the first round of the Texas/Louisiana Shootout. The win moved David up a position in the ALTWM
point standings to 3rd.
Team DFR appreciates
all the support from their sponsors: Shed Road Auto Parts, Well's Racing Engines, Troyer Race Cars, Smith-Petty Trophies and
Warren's Automotive. Team DFR would like to give a special thanks this week to $1.99 Cleaners and Walker Spring &
Brake for all their support.
The "Shed
Road Challenge" was increased from $400 to $600 for tonights Shootout, but both drivers declined the offer. At
the next points event the 'Shed Road Challenge' will be $550.
